Synopsis from M. R. Sellar's website: "PLEASURE CAN BE RELATIVE ... At 1:52 PM, November 18, Rowan Gant’s wife, Felicity O’Brien was arrested and charged with a string of brutal murders. Due to a number of bizarre and almost inexplicable events leading up to her arrest, even she is unsure of her own innocence, let alone her sanity. Rowan’s faith in her, however, remains unshaken, and he will stop at nothing to find the real killer. The only problem is, the woman he is looking for has been dead for more than 150 years… All Acts Of Pleasure is the powerful and revealing sequel to the Rowan Gant Investigations biggest cliffhanger to date, Love Is The Bond. " Will eventually become a bookray. Shipping order so far: innae, Aurora, Colorado, USA, shipping anywhere reulte, San Antonio, Texas or Tunisia? Journal Entry 2 by cathepsut from Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Wednesday, December 31, 2008
Finally read it! Once I'm back home from the holidays and have heard back from the first one in the bookring, it will be on its merry way.... The second book in the Miranda arc. And it again ends in the middle of nowhere, so I just added the third part of this trilogy to my wishlist. Not because I thought it was so great, but to get some closure and find out how it ends. I have always had a difficult relationship with these Rowan Gant books. Good ystery, but the writing has always bugged me. I wonder what some good editing would do to this series? I don't mind the inventive grammar of direct speech in these books. And the amount of superfluos adjectives has gone down a lot, too. But it could all do with some tightening up. I really felt like telling Sellars to get on with it in this one here. Everything is explained to the minutest detail and he tends to waffle on endlessly sometimes. You could have probably put the plot down in half as many pages, if you had gotten rid of all the fluff. Or it could have done with smaller print and more plot in the first place. I don't think I will continue with it after the next one. It's just too unsatisfying in the long run.

I'm losing interest in the Rowan Gant mysteries, but have promised myself that I'll finish the Miranda trilogy in a burst of optimism. The main characters are whiny except when they are stereotypical, the plotting is getting tedious.
