Within the characteristics of the Kelleher Typology nine point categorization of serial killers is that of SEXUAL PREDATORS— those who systematically kill others in clear acts of sexual homicide.
They are sociopaths, sometimes harboring a form of paraphilia, but almost always killing in order to fuel or even validate an ongoing fantasy. Update January 2008:

I liked it, although the storyline of this one was a bit on the thin side. Not an awful lot of sleuthing and deduction going on. And the ending was just annoying. It basically stops in the middle of the plot. Make sure book #7 is close, otherwise it's too frustrating!

Cliffhanger ending...no way!

This was the first Rowan Gant book that I really really enjoyed and could not put down. There were still things about it that annoyed me but the story made it all worthwhile.

I'll try to forward it before Christmas.

The book is safe and sound in Colorado!! I will get to reading it as soon as I finish Swallowing Darkness (shouldn't be too terribly long)

finished this early this morning. I think Sellars' books just keep getting better. I enjoyed this one a lot! and am looking forward to the continuation of the story in All Acts of Pleasure.

I have tried to reach reulte, no luck yet, but will keep trying for a bit longer.

I'm losing interest in the Rowan Gant mysteries; the characters don't seem as fun or fresh as they were in the first two books. The main character whines more than I can tolerate in a live person and the plots seem . . . I don't know . . . unpolished? Unfinished (and I don't mean in a cliffhanger sort of way either). Anyway, I'll read the last of the Miranda trilogy and see if it sparks my further interest or not.
