Wonderful, wonderful.
I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie!
This is on the 1001 books to read before you you know what.
Cant wait to read it.
Thankyou soooo much beaulivre.

I finally found the right time to read this one. It is very good.
I had a hard time with the long set-up eventhough the writing is excellent. The long-set-up really seems to be McKwens style. Once the momentum picked up halfway through the book I was hooked. It is far better than "On Chesil Beach". I'm still considering if I like it more than "Saturday", which I really enjoyed.
I've been looking forward to the movie and I have it here, so it will be interesting to see how the story relates on film.
Looking forward to reading more of McEwans novels in the future. I'll keep an eye out for "Enduring Love" and "Amstadam".

Thanks again beaulivre. I'll have to find a way to pay it forwards. :-)

Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the way the movie visualised the novel, but without the background in the novel I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the movie as much.
