I bought Richard Horne's '101 Things to Do Before You Die' today and can't loose the feeling that I neither can nor want to do everything that is in the book. It consists of long lists of things to do (more than 101!!!) and one has to tick off and fill in everything one already did. Still, I can't loose the feeling that it would be much more fun to fill in the book with many people! Maybe if we did it all together, we could accomplish everything? This is why I'd like to make a bookring out of it. The rules are a bit different this time, according to the nature of the book: 1. Please do not take more than 4 weeks before you send on the book. (There is not as much to read as in other books, you only need an afternoon off or so). 2. To fill in the book, choose a color that hasn't been chosen before. (There are star stickers on the second last page. It's okay to use them! If the stars are out, it might be easier to use another symbol... ;-)) Sign with your screenname on the last page with this color. 3. Be absolutely truthful! 4. If you need more space, print out further pages on www.101thingstodo.co.uk and stick them into the book or use the notebook. 5. While you have the book, accomplish at least one more thing to do from the list! 6. If you want, add your own personal top ten things to do in your life list! ... and because we are so many in this bookring now: 7. There's a little pink notebook traveling along with the book. If the page with the thing you claimed has already been filled in, please write your answers into the notebook! Now, who's going to join? This sounds like such fun to me, I'm seriously excited! :-) List of participants: 0. Flicki, Oldenburg, Germany --> Int. Book is here --> 1. Even though this book is sort of stupid, I had lots of fun filling in the forms. :-) In some cases, I couldn''t really tell what to write. Actually, I have cooked a three-course-menue, and not just once, but I don''t know any combinations and also couldn''t tell the date! Then I''m also not really sure about the vintage wine... not every wine with a date printed on the bottle - as suggested in the book - can be vintage, can it? Because in that case I''m drinking vintage wine quite often! ;-) And I have won prizes when I was a kid, but I don''t really know when and what anymore. So I left that part out, too. I also decided to leave the parts that have to do with sex optional for everybody to fill in. Especially writing down the names of the people you had a threesome with sounds like a bit of personal information... ;-) If anybody WANTS to fill that in, nobody''s going to stop you, though! ;-) But back to my notes: I don''t really remember any childhood dream of mine. There was not anything special or long-lasting, I suppose. And I''d say that ''Meeting someone with the same name'' only counts if it''s the same first and last name! ;-) There used to be a professor with my name at University and we were mixed up by the guy from the bookstore and stuff, but I never met her, so this probably doesn''t count. ;-) AND I once met my idol, but as nobody else knows the person, this probably isn''t very convincing, though. And even though we spent a whole day together, I''m afraid that there is no proof whatsoever I can give! ;-) I''m also selling junk on ebay rather often, so there''s nothing life-shattering to tell in there! ;-) In this way I only have 15 stars out of 101!!! Need to get a few more stars before I send the book on! I''ll keep you informed! ;-)

Alright - I managed my own personal new accomplishment: I invented my own cocktail - the infamous Schnizza Knizza!! :-) Sorry, I took a picture of it, but that didn''t work, but the receipt is in the book now and you can try it out, it''s really good! :-) But don''t forget the umbrella and glacé cherries! I just bought them for the picture and then I can''t use the stupid camera! Well, okay, maybe next time I''ll send a picture! Can''t drink a cocktail every day... even if it''s good! ;-) Now I suppose it''s time to send the book on. There are 13 people on the list already and only 11 colors of stars. Besides, I''m afraid that there are some things that everybody has done already (like reading books from the list of books to be read...) and that makes it difficult for everybody to throw in their stars! The solution: I''ll send a notebook with the original book. I''ll change the rules above according to the new situation. :-) Hope this works! I''ll send the book out one of these days. Have fun, everybody!!!
