If you like Civil War books you would love the book. It is not about a soldier in the war but it is a true story about a boy who grew up during the war. His three brothers, cousin, and his sister's boyfriend go off to war. The story goes on about how he lived with out his brothers and cousin. It also tells how he lives through the period during the war with out his teacher who is his sister's future husband.
