I typically look forward to another installment of my favorite town 400 miles north of everywhere. Well, after reading this book, I was left wondering "Who wrote the book?" This time I found the abrupt plot changes, choppy language, ambiguous storyline, and several ''unneeded asides'' were quite poorly thought out, and placed. The famed Apple Barn burns? Polly moves to France while on a vacation without so much as a goodbye or 2nd thought about her ''beloved cats''? A murder with no resolve? Qwill takes up with a new lady?
This one was disappointing....
