I love reading Yarn Harlot''s blog and was inspired to buy her book Yarn Harlot while on a trip in Canada. Since then I have read every book she''s done so far. And I have to say this is my least favorite. I tend to favor her essays/short story/knitting proverbs style of The Yarn Harlot and At Knits End. Knitting Rules! was ok, but at least it had functional knitting tips that made up for its change in voice. But Casts Off doesn''t have those tips. And while it''s cute and the concept is clever, it just doesn''t sing to me the way the first two did.

After 7 (!!!) months finally this book arrived in Nottingham... if it wasn't for the fact that the package was very dry I'd swear it swam all the way from Florida, as there's no way that mail can take that long, is there???
Anyway, I am so happy :))) thanks so much Doveilibri - it's the best ever surprise package to reach me, and I will happily ignore the writing on the box: TRY NOT TO OPEN UNTIL YOUR BIRTHDAY...no way I am going to wait until December ;-) !!!
