I had a copy of The Hitchhikers Guide on the bookshelf in my classroom and several students read it and wanted to read the other books in the series. I wasn't able to find any at the used books shops (no surprise there) so I finally broke down and bought three copies of the whole series. Hopefully, the kids will enjoy the books and pass them around. If a few of my students get interested in reading because of these books, my money was well spent.

I love these books!! Douglas Adams is brilliant. The stories in this trilogy are the best science fiction novels i have ever read. the HitchHikers Guide to the galaxy is amazing!! At first it was confusing but as it progressed the reader was able to connect the present to the past. I loved how the end of every book lead intot eh next one. Douglas Adams created a world without humans ( are the minority). The ideas he presented to the reader are completely imaginary but allows the reader to interpret it the way they prefer. If there were others books in this series i would be required to read them, i am hooked. I recommend this book (series of books) to everyone! It is so good! I can't say enough. after each book i would discuss it with my mom or dad and they thought it would be interesting to read as well. it is an easy fun to read novel for all ages. At times it can get a little confusing but as you keep reading the plot comes together. This was a very good book, i intend to read more of Douglas Adams's novels and recommend them to everyone. I will be putting this book back on the shelf for others to enjoy and hope they like it as much as i did.... AKG-3

I already read the first three books of the misnamed Hitchhiker's Trilogy, but I never got around to finishing the rest of the series. This of course was a big disappointment. However I finally found the time and the perfect book to accomplish such a task in this wonderful collection of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series. I even read the ones that I had already read before to refresh my memory and I still found that the stories about Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent were highly amusing. My favorite character, of course, is Marvin the depressed robot. His dark views on the world are twistedly funny and his unbridaled angst even ends up saving the crew on some occasions throughout the novels. All in all I recommend that if anyone gets the chance they should read this book(s). I guarantee you will give a good hearty chuckle at one point or another.
