Journal Entry 1 by hendertuckian from Henderson, Nevada USA on Wednesday, July 25, 2007
selected for olympic challenge - Namibia. I enjoyed this book but it became repetious quickly because mostly school children wrote poems about the cheeta and drew pictures. It was about protecting the cheeta and learning to give the cheeta more room to live. Overall I'm glad I read the book and some of the art work showed promising talent, some was just endering. goes to Hobbit

Journal Entry 2 by hobbit from Surabaya, Jawa Timur Indonesia on Saturday, September 01, 2007

What a lovely book - thanks, Hendertuckian! It's filled with little stories, poems, and pictures from art and writing contests in Namibia. I am especially enjoying the tidbits of information about cheetahs from the Cheetah Conservation Fund, which appear at the beginning and tucked at the bottoms of some of the pages. I can see that this will be quite repetitive though, and expect that I'll best enjoy it if I read just a few pages at a time.

I finished this book and loaned it to my son to read. I was right - I enjoyed it best when I read a few pages and then put it down for a while. The whole concept of the book was lovely - it was done as a competition to further the education of children and adults about the cheetah and its endangered status.

My son skimmed through and read bits of this, I think, rather than the whole thing. He said he enjoyed it. I went to the Post Office this morning and sent this on its way to Bartonz as part of the Passport to the World Virtual Book Box

Journal Entry 7 by azuki from Miami, Florida USA on Friday, November 21, 2008
You know, I have actually been eyeing this for a while when this book was offered in the Passport to the World vbb. I never picked it because there are always lots of books I am interested in and I just have to severely limit the books I am taking. However, leaving through the pages I am really happy that the book found its way to me, I would definitely consider it a loss if I didn't get to see it. Love the adorable paintings (though indeed there are some quality ones). Thanks for the RABCK!

A nice, varied collection of poems, stories and drawings about cheetah. I hope the book's message gets promoted widely and something is indeed done to save these beautiful animals.
