Taking out of the bookbox to make numbers of discs work out. I loved Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer when I was young. I'm looking forward to listening to this short version of one of their adventures :-)

Journal Entry 4 by KateKintail from Burke, Virginia USA on Saturday, September 13, 2008
Just listened to this tonight while I was organizing the part of my room where boxes upon boxes of BC books sit. It's been some time (middle school) since I read Tom Sawyer and Huck Fin. And I vaguely remembered a murder subplot... but I recalled them hiding out in a graveyard. This story must have been one that's slipped my mind. There's a diamond heist and a murder and Tom Sawyer figures it out, of course. I like that this story is told from Huck's perspective. It's great seeing Tom through his friend's eyes, especially during the courtroom scene when the truth finally is revealed! It was interesting that they picked this particular section to extract and turn into a standalone piece. It's part cleverness and part his being in the right place at the right time. Earreading this was a great way to spend an hour cleaning!

A nice abridged version. Kind of a silly story, but Twain captures the dialect well. The reader was good, but I think a younger voice would've been better on this one.
