Bought this off a library sale shelf. Has a few labels, but is otherwise in good condition.
The No. 1
Ladies' Detective Agency
For All Confidential Matters And Inquiries
Satisfaction Guaranteed for all Parties
Under Personal Management
This is the first novel in the series (and the only one I've read so far) but it's the second book I've read from this author (who I got to see speak a few months ago). I absolutely loved it. Precious Ramotswe is an incredibly clever and interesting character. I loved watching her make her way in the industry and solve these mysteries both great and small.

Finally got around to reading this book, only took one year! A very enjoyable book. I had listened to later books in the series so it was good so see how things start for Mma Ramotswe. Now to find someone to ray this book forward to...

Mailing today to judygreeneyes to continue the Ray it Forward, enjoy.
I just received this book by mail. It was waiting for me today when I returned home from a business trip to Korea. I'm looking forward to reading it and will get it moving as soon as I can! Thanks so much for sending it!
I thoroughly enjoy books about smart, strong women, and Precious Ramotswe is certainly smart and strong. This was a fun story about her various detective cases, which she was able to solve brilliantly. I learned a bit about Botswana, which really added to the charm. So glad I finally took the time to read this book!

This book is being released in memory of Kalman. Kalman was the beloved son of oliviapoolside and he tragically died on November 30th 2004 at the age of just 11.
I am sending out to motherof11. I once told her that I would send her an Alexander MCCall Smith book, and so here it is! Since motherof11 is my partner in the "INTL gift giving rabck in memory of Kalman". I thought I would sort through my books to find the first book in The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency series, and I am enclosing it with another crime book.
I absolutely loved this book with the descriptions of life in Botswana and the simple humour! It's great. I really hope that you will love it too.
If you are reading here, then I want to tell you that this is a. FREE . book, and there are no catches! It is now yours! Please read on.....
If you are the finder of this book it would be nice if you could leave a message here to say that you have it. Do not worry because I don't want the book back. It is yours to keep if you want it. I just want to know it is now in safe hands.

Thank you for this wishlist book! I have received a copy of this book for a RABCK that I won, so I will keep that one and let this one travel once I have read it. Thank you!
Wow, I read this book fast! It was just such a good book, it was hard to put down. I have a couple of other books in the series, but may try to read them in order, as I just enjoyed the stories so much that I would like to know what happens next (instead of guessing based on future events). Thanks for sharing this book with me!
