A Reader's Manifesto
2 journalers for this copy...
A very interesting analysis of modern literary prose... I will look at many books differently now. I agreed with Myers in many places, but is did seem that he was being extremely harsh. Then again, it is called literary "criticism" . :)
Sending to kestralwing in Washington state ... Enjoy! :)
Just received in the mail -- thanks! I plan to read it and share it with my book club.
This book has been circulating (slowly! -- it took two years to get back to me) among my friends. Not everybody was as delighted as I was, but then not everybody has as much of an aversion to "literary fiction" as I do.
I'm going to keep it for awhile, because it's such a treasure to share with other people. I have NO luck getting them to make journal entries -- "it's too much like writing a book report" they whine -- but it is getting read, and I'm not quite ready to release it into the wild again.
So maybe you'll hear from this book in another couple of years!

Hmmm .... more than "a couple of years" but the book resurfaces! It's been on my bookshelf, but now it's time to send it into the wild and hope to find another delighted reader.
