Elizabeth Air Miller is a girl with a power, a power that she has within. Elizabeth's world falls apart when her parents die in a car accident. This leaves her with her grandfather who becomes her newly adoptive parent. When her grandfather talks about vampires in the woods behind their house, she starts to think that her grandfather is a little weird. She finds out there is a vampire who lives in the woods. And in finding that, she has to learn how to trust and love this vampire. She is given the opportunity of a lifetime - to become immortal. Should she risk it or not?

Who knew when I grabbed this at PBS that it was so short and written by a preteen??? I went ahead and read it since I had it and it was short. The story reads like an 8th grade essay, has characters you can't relate to, bad dialogue, a storyline that isn't fully fleshed out, and is chock full of grammatical and spelling errors (something that a simple proofreading would have corrected). I'm not sure why anyone felt the need to have this published.
