Vanmiddag genoot ik van een heerlijk, zij het vrij klein, kopje Ierse thee in Mulligans en ik kon het gewoonweg niet laten dit boek mee te nemen. The Secret World of the Irish Male. Zal wel vol zelfbeklag staan,hahaha;-)

Grand book!

Just one quotation. A Dutch soccer fan and Joseph O'Connor are attending a soccer-match in Orlando (USA) between the teams of their respective countries. The Dutch man:

" "We will beat you today, yes, Irishman?" he says.
""Oh, I don't think so", I grin.
"Yes, yes, yes," he nods. "I think we will beat you today."
"You'll never beat the Irish," I counter, brilliantly.
"Ha", he says, "If you think we do not beat you, then you are a very stupid facker."
"HaHaHa", I simper.
He turns around, opens his beer and begins loudly singing in a strange guttural language which I suppose must be Dutch."

I will keep the book a bit longer, because I intend to read it again.
