The Undomestic Goddess

'Samantha is a high-powered lawyer in London. She works all hours, has no home life, and cares only about getting a partnership. She thrives on the pressure and adrenalin. Until one day . . . she makes a mistake. A mistake so huge it’ll wreck her career.
She walks right out of the office, gets on the first train she sees, and finds herself in the middle of nowhere. Asking for directions at a big, beautiful house, she is mistaken for the interviewee housekeeper and finds herself being offered the job. They have no idea they’ve hired a Cambridge-educated lawyer with an IQ of 158 – and Samantha has no idea how to work the oven.
Disaster ensues. It’s chaos as Samantha battles with the washing machine . . . the ironing board . . . and attempts to cook a cordon-bleu dinner . . . But maybe she’s not as undomestic as she thought. Maybe, with some help, she can fake it?Will her employers ever discover their housekeeper is actually a top-flight lawyer? Will Samanths’a old life ever catch up with her? And if it does…will she want it back?'

This made a perfect easy read for a long train journey. Good for relaxing, the book has its hilarious moments. I quite liked the main character Samantha.
I got this book in the local bookcrossing meeting, thanks Bookgeo. I've read this before and quite liked it, so I think the book will end up as RACK or wild-released somewhere in my trips next year.
I noticed this book in many wishlists, so I decided to make a bookray of it. My very first bookray!
The preferred length to keep the book is one month, but I know people have lives outside of bookcrossing, so I’m not too fussy about it. Otherwise the regular rules apply: make a journal entry when you receive the book, when you've read it to let the others know what you thought about the book and when you send the book to the next participant of the ray.
The final order of the participants:
1. Margih, Finland
2. Potat1556, Switzerland (Europe)
3. thescreaming, USA (pref. USA)
4.dicentragirl, USA (USA) (no answer to pms, skipped)
5. elfgirlsmom, USA (anywhere) <-- THE BOOK IS HERE
6.Stellarv, Brazil (anywhere) (no answer to pms, skipped)
7. dopsis, Australia (pref. Australia)
8. taniazed, Australia (pref. Australia)

The book started the (not that long :) journey to the first participant this morning!
I got this book already last week but forgot to journal it, sorry. Can´t start reading it yet but will asap. Thanks, Hetku77, for asking me to join this ray as I really enjoy Kinsellas books, light and funny reading :)
Kinsella knows how to write funny and entertaining books. But must say that I enjoy more the Shopaholic -books. Anyway, a good and easy read while spending my time in hospital. And sure, if the adventures of Samantha continues I´ll absolutely wanna read them!
Thanks hetku77 for sharing. I´ll send the book out soon, must get the next reader´s address first :)

Just receved the book in the post day before. I can start reading it by next week as I am currently reading something, but will send it off soon.
Started reading this book today and hope to finish over the weekend and send it off.
Kinsella writes funny stories for sure, buit this one was a bit disappointing compared to the Shopaholic series. Fun, nevertheless...was not too bad for a light reading. Am sending it off to thescreaming this weekend, as I got her address now. Thanks for sharing the book.
This arrived in yesterday's mail. I have another bookring to start and finish, and then I'll get to this.
I'm not sure what I think about this book. I like the "follow your heart" aspect about it, but I didn't like the "woman are happier cooking and cleaning" bit. The story did keep me occupied though.
I've PMed dicentragirl and I'll get this out to her as soon as I can.
Edit 11/26 - It's been a week and I haven't heard from dicentragirl yet, so I'm going to PM elfgirlsmom for her address.
Edit 12/01 - I heard from elfgirlsmom today, so I'll send it out to her on Saturday.
