It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Wonderful and inspiring!

"With an exuberant mix of passion, insight, and humor, Anne Lamott takes us on a journey through her often troubled past to illuminate her devout but quirky walk of faith. In a narrative spiced with stories and scripture, with diatribes, laughter, and tears, Lamott tells how, against all odds, she came to believe in God and then, even more miraculously, in herself. She shows us the myriad ways in which this sustains and guides her, shining the light of faith on the darkest part of ordinary life and exposing surprising pockets of meaning and hope. Whether writing about her family or her dreadlocks, sick children or old friends, the most religious women of her church or the men she's dated, Lamott reveals the hard-won wisdom gathered along her path to connectedness and liberation."

Before bookcrossing I would rarely read non-fiction, and now, when I have the opportunity to made a trade, I search out books that I would never buy in a book store. This was one of those books.
I feel like I know the author! She writes with honesty and courage, this was a very smart, funny, eloquent book.

I loved this book! I read it months ago and I want to keep it. No, no, bad alsomama. It's a BookCrossing book and should keep moving. Anne Lamott is so eloquent. She writes about sadness and fear, drugs and motherhood. And faith. How she finds faith. Since I read this book I've read some of Lamott's fiction but I think her non-fiction works better. She opens up so completely the reader cannot help but sympathize with her, even when her behavior is appalling. I'm not releasing this one into the wild but I'll offer it to a new BookCrosser.

So many good books coming my way! AlsoMama keeps saying: "Have you read this one?" So I "catch" it and wow! I'll be getting to this after I finish Janet Evanovich and then "Under the Banner of Heaven," by Jon Krokuer.

I had never heard of bookcrossing before this book turned up in the basement of a church in bellevue.
It was very empowering and full of a message of hope; Lamott's irreverent spiritual expression is simply delightful.
I intend to pass it on and keep it moving
