The unusual structure of this novel is appealing in itself. After reading so many novels of a generally similar format it is exciting to find a book written in a completely different style - footnotes. The plot is amusing, although it requires great stretches of the imagination. It starts well and kind of whimpers to a halt like a joke taken too far.
