I'm very interested in African culture and have always enjoyed books from the African Writers' Series so I picked this one up at a garage sale. The added bonus, or tie, is that the author who is originally from Malawi, taught at Trent University which is in my home town.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get through this one. The characters were not really interesting or endearing, even in their struggles or with their bad qualities. There wasn't anything really to keep me reading. So maybe someone else can enjoy it better and give it some lovin'

I was cleaning out shelves and came across this book. I don't remember picking it up where it was released, but somehow it has made its way to my bookshelf. I'll read it and release it.
