From the back cover:

"Chanting, hooded figures gather inside a ring of ancient stones, using rituals of blood sacrifice to awaken the sleeping evil of the Ogri.

The Doctor and Romana go from the countryside of present day England to a deep-space cruiser trapped in hyperspace in their attempt to track down an alien criminal, and unravel the mystery of the Stones of Blood.

Luckily they have the help of the faithful K9...

'Terrance Dicks is a skilful professional story-teller... He has deftly recaptured the programme's popular blend of hectic menace and humourous self-mockery.' - British Book News"

Andrew Skilleter’s third cover for a novelisation – done in the style of the original Achilleos covers. Skilleter actually disliked these white-background vignettes as he felt they were unhelpful to his style and limited the impact of the cover. The novel, alongside all the other Key to Time novels, was never reprinted with a different cover. A larger version of Skilleter's artwork appears in David J. Howe's book Timeframe (Virgin Publishing Ltd, 1993). The original artwork was offered up for sale in 2001 and is now owned by Matt and Sarah Parish.

This copy bears the original coloured Target roundels logo.

Found the book at the TAFE at Caboolture on Tallon Street. Even though sci-fi is not really my cup of tea I decided to rescue the book before the cleaners decided to throw it out. I plan to re-release it somewhere. Probably on Bribie.

Released 14 yrs ago (11/19/2009 UTC) at Bus stop opposite IGA Bongaree in Bribie Island, Queensland Australia
