I read this before I joined bookcrossing (was it really that long ago ????) and bought this copy for the Secret-MidSummer-Santa-Squirrel-Bookswop-Thingie-Thing. I still remember it being a gentle and lovely book and now I want to read it again :-)

Excellent book. The first time I read this book was in my early teens, and I couldn't stop laughing. Deric Longden has a unique writing style that really appeals to me. His descriptive method style can turn an everyday task or common event into an hilarious highlight. I am happy to say that having read it again, the humour still appeals to me. posted out to 'Loz' on Tuesday 28th Agust 2007- 2nd class postage. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

My local branch of Cats Protection have managed to get a stall at the Supreme Cat Show in Birmingham in November. We're going to run a tombola but need to collect 300-400 prizes to raise lots of money to help the cats in our care. I picked this up off the table, thought it would make a nice prize!
