I've already read 'Fast Food Nation', enjoyed it tremendously, and am curious to find out what more Schlosser has to say on the subject. Apparently not much more as I have just found out that this is more a reworking of 'Fast Food Nation' than a standalone book. Oh well. It's been a couple of years since I read the 'real' book, so I've probably forgotten most of it by now anyway. :-)

I've read this book months ago - in September of last year - I just am such a slooow journaller. Better late than never. :-)
This was an interesting read, but didn't contain a great deal of new information for me. Still interesting though. Well written. IMO, more like a collection of various articles on the subject of fast food than a book written as such. (Ie, as a book. :-)But these are very interesting articles. :-) A lot of important information in this book ... information that everyone in the Western world should be aware of. Everyone, seriously. Most people probably don't often think about the fact that Chicken McNuggets have changed American society fundamentally, but nevertheless, it is a fact.
The book is heavy on information but still an easily accessible read. Popular science style. A quick and easy read. Even though I was generally aware of the contents of the book already, I found it quite gripping. I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone.
