Being completely fascinated with all things retro, I quickly devoured this story of Lucia, a young Italian seamstress living in NYC in 1950. The story is filled with many vivid descriptions of the beautiful garments Lucia makes and her vibrant neighborhood. Also included in the book are recipes for meals that Lucia's family prepares in the book.
My sister recommended this book to me and I, in turn, recommended this story to my mother. We all really enjoyed this story and hope that someone else will, too.
