A Spanish Lover
7 journalers for this copy...
This book was given to me today by a woman named Frances. She was the external examiner during my oral English exam yesterday at teachers training college here in Odense. Among other things I used Bookcrossing at the exam to show how literature written in English could be used in the Danish school system, and Frances wanted to play along, so she brought this book for me today and asked me to register and release it :)
I'll make sure it travels, somehow.
Thought: Frances told me that she is part of USWCF here in Odense. I'm trying to set up a ray for this book, and it could be fun to put USWCF on the list as the last participant.
Bookray participants so far:
kayjay33 in Canada (ships within Canada and USA)
blackadder75 in USA (ships within Canada and USA)
mysterylady36 in USA (ships anywhere)
penelopewanders in Switzerland (ships within Switzerland or Europe)
mallary in France (ships within Europe, anywhere if neccessary)
allbookedup in Austria (ships within europe - anywhere if necessary) Book is here!
MieLH in Denmark (ships anywhere)
USWCF in Denmark (Hopefully someone there knows a Frances Fisher?)
When the final reader is finished with the book, he/she is free to do with it what he/she wants. I do encourage that the book keeps travelling, since that is what BookCrossing-books are destined to do :) Thank you!
BookRay guidelines:
* Please journal the book once when you receive it and once when you are done with it and it's about to leave your hands.
* Please PM the next person in line and send it off to them (Give the next reader a week to reply to your PM. If there's no reply, please PM me (so I can make a note in the list above) and then PM the next reader in line)
* If at all possible please try to read the book within 45 days (I don't care if it takes you longer to finish, but please PM me, so I won't worry)
* Most of all enjoy the book - - this is not a school assignment :)

Realizing I won't be able to finish this book within a fair amount of time, I've decided to start off the bookray and then place myself at the bottom of the list... which sort of makes it a bookring more than a bookray, but nevermind ;)
The book was sent off to Kayjay33 in Canada earlier today :) I hope it arrives there soon.

This book did not take very long to travel from Denmark to Canada. I really enjoy this author's writing so will read it soon and send it on it's way. I'll just finish the book that I'm in the middle of first. Shouldn't take long.
Thank you Mielh for including me in this bookring.

Trollope writes so honestly that the characters could be your next door neighbors. The story centers around twin sisters Lizzie and Frances.Lizzie appears to be the domimate one but Frances asserts herself as time goes by. Life does not always give you "happy ever after" and this book is a good example of that. I am waiting now for the address for the next one on the list and will get the book moving again as quickly as I can.

Being sent out to mysterylady36.
Arrived today along with a surprise book. Thanks!
This was a pleasant story, but I didn't feel like I really knew any of the characters. It was interesting to see the dynamics change between the sisters, but again the characters seemed flat. I also would have loved to see the mistress developed more and her relationship with the wife. That would have made for some interesting stuff!
I have the address for the next person and will be mailing soon.

Arrived today, thanks! Another ring and a half in front of this, so it will be another two weeks or so, but Trollope is usually a fast read once you get to it.
Thanks for sending, thanks for making available.

RELEASE NOTES:
Trollope writes well and her characters are believable and very human. I enjoyed the novel although somehow it felt a bit truncated. It felt like there were many stories that were left hanging somehow. I wasn't too pleased with the end, but I suppose that's the way it goes. I hadn't read a Trollope in a long time so I was glad of the opportunity. Thanks so much for making this book available. It is now leaving the snowy Alps and is heading for France.

Gosh, sorry. This book arrived some time ago and I just realised I forgot to journal it's arrival. My apologies. Thank you penelopewanders for sending it, I have nearly finished and will journal my thoughts as soon as I finish.
I realised halfway through this book that I had already read it many years ago! It didn't spoil my enjoyment though because I couldn't remember the ending.
Not as good as some of Trollope's other novels but not bad.
Pming next in the list.

I'm sorry I really couldn't get into the story, it just did not grab my attention, so I am going to send it back to MieLH soon.
