Both of my older 2 kids have read and enjoyed this. Unfortunately the book got a little abused over the weekend. We were at a wrestling tournament, and it turned into a 12 hour long mind numbing event. Half way through the day, jsissy held up this book which had come out of the bag she brought to entertain herself. She was showing me that a big chunk of pages had come out, but the chunk remained intact. I figured I would tape it at home. Since I was so bored, I read the book myself having not brought any of my own. I thought it was a great story with a good moral, though the lesson to be learned and the outcome was obvious from the beginning. This could be because I am almost 3 times the age the book is targeted at though. Anyway, I was reading it and the chunk of pages that I knew had come out were missing. I looked everywhere because I was fairly involved in the story and it was about 30 missing pages. I found the missing pages in a puddle of something wet, maybe soda or maybe water. I decided I was going to read it anyway. Now that the books is home and dry, I have re-taped the pages into the book. It is good to go for several more reads if someone is not picky about a pristine book. It seemed too good a story to throw away and it is still very readable.

RELEASE NOTES:

I left this book on the railing outside between the doors. It should be out of the rain and hopefully the wind won't take it away. I have had good luck getting books journalled in this spot, especially in wet weather.

You can read the book or not, keep it, pass it on to someone else you think might enjoy it, or leave it in a public place like I did.
