I noticed this book on so many bookcrossers want lists that when I saw this at a used bookstore I had to buy it so I would have an extra copy to register on line and put into circulation.
What can I say about The Lovely Bones that hasn't already been said? If you haven't read this yet you will fall in love with Susie Salmon with her open, generous heart and her touching idea of heaven. This is a love story about the way we deal with grief and loss and the way we learn to let go. It is also a coming of age story in which the person who is coming of age just happens to be dead.

Yay! I received this greatly awaited book in the mail today and I will read it as soon as I get a chance! It was odd that this was the first bookcrossing book I received in the mail and it was also the book that I most wanted to read. I will write another journal entry after I read it! thanks a bunch tamarabk!

Going through BC entries now, I thought I had journaled this book, as I read it YEARS ago. I feel horrible! I can't believe I hadn't journaled the first BC book I got in the mail! I did enjoy this book very much. I thought it was very good despite the sad subject matter. It was years ago though, so it is tough to say a lot.
