Journal Entry 3 by ResQgeek from Alexandria, Virginia USA on Monday, June 11, 2007

This book opens with a murder, and the reader is never quite sure who the bad guy is until the very end. The author has provided a number of viable suspects, all with means and motive, and keeps the identity of the murderer well concealed until the very end. I had suspicions about who committed the crime, but changed my mind at least once during the book. While the book gets off to a bit of a slow start, the tension builts nicely in the second half and in the end, I found it hard to put down. This is a good first novel, though I found some of the dialogue to be forced and unnatural. There were places where the characters were talking about what they were doing in ways that just didn't seem natural. Other than that, though, I really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this promising new author.

Journal Entry 4 by ResQgeek from Alexandria, Virginia USA on Monday, June 11, 2007

This is the first book from a new author, who is also a new member of BookCrossing. I thought it would be a nice introduction to our community to send this book out as a bookray to other members, so that she can hear what others think of her book. When you receive the book, please make a journal entry so that we know it arrived safely, and then post your thoughts when you finish the book. Send the next person in the ray a Private Message to get their mailing information. Enjoy the book! Bookray - redsoxbookguy, California
