Journal Entry 1 by Captainsdoxy from Waikanae, Wellington Province New Zealand on Sunday, May 20, 2007
Lillian Beckwith spent nearly 20 years living in the Hebrides (off the coast of Scotland). Her life in a croft on the island of Bruach is the basis of these comic adventures. She describes a totally different way of life and an eccentric cast of characters.
This was an amusing tale of life on a small island. The quirky ways of the other islanders, and the type of lives they lead, are very alien but engaging. It's an easy and relaxing read.

Good read.
