Mary Queen of Scots
2 journalers for this copy...
I bought this at a yard sale for a dime. I am sure the subject is fascinating, but I just can't get through the book. I enjoy reading about Europe's kings and queens from the 14th to the 16th century, but I must admit, all of the names confuse me being the same for generations. For that reason, I like a very clear book. This book was bogged down in almost every sentence. I think the author assumes that the reader has prior knowledge of her subject. I ended up reading only about 40 pages of this book before giving up. I will say that the material seems very well researched and is probably a great read for someone with a little more patience or knowledge.
The book first came out in the late 1960s and spent 40 weeks on all best seller lists.
My cover varies slightly from the one pictured.

*bows down to the awesome Guinaveve* This has been in my posession for a while, but I keep forgetting to journal it! So sorry! Someone at work found it and left it on the microwave for me. I'll read it eventually, when Mt. STBR dies down a little...
