Any artistric cat lovers out there? I just got a 30 page coloring book, with various stylized cats, domestic to wild. Some backgrounds are traditional but primarily wacky! This could really be fun. I couldn't resist this whole idea!



It would be like:
1. When you receive the book...you pick one undone page of your choice, color it as you wish. (The State Flower ring I participated in matched your state with your flower but I don't see any way to match people to pages in this book.)

2. All pages need to be colored using normal crayons or colored pencils. The book says it's paper will also be good for watercolor or oil crayons.

3. Sign, email the next person on the list for their address and send it on to that person.

4. You would have no more than two or three weeks to finish your page and send on to the next person. PLEASE...KEEP IT MOVING AND IF YOU NEED TO HOLD ON TO IT FOR AN EXTENDED TIME, LET ME KNOW. When we've exhausted our list it will come back to me and I would probably start the ring again until the book is finished.

Yesterday I got one of those little notification cards from the post office about a package. Can you imagine how I felt when they told me that they'd (so they say) already left me a card and that this was my final notice? If I hadn't been by today they would have sent this ring back to whence it came!

Anyway, it's here safe and sound now. It will be sent out again next week. Thanks for letting MsBasketball and me participate, olered!

9/10/2007: Sorry we've held this up so long. We're in the middle of moving and things have been busy around here. I just PMd kittycastle, so this ring should be back on the road in a day or two.

I'm sorry that it took so long to get this back on the road. I'm not normally such a bookhog. Things have been really busy lately. I spent two long months buying a house. We've been moving. Our old house was broken into last week. My email provider (operamail) has been screwy. etc, etc. Anyhow, the package went into the mail today. I didn't get a confirmation on it, but it's going priority, so it should be in the next reader's hands in 2-3 days.

As for the coloring book itself, I colored a picture and then passed it on to msbasketball. She didn't get to finish her picture, but finally remembered to pass it on to me so that it can at least get to someone else.

It's here! I got it! I did PM mom2jwn with my address details but she didn't get it, so she sent me her email addy to reply and we got there in the end! Thanks mom!

I'm looking forward to relaxing with this book. I've already chosen 'my' picture...it has a kind of 'groovy 60's feel' and leapt out at me!

Just need to decide whether to use felt pens or pencils now....depends on what I can find too!

I really enjoyed colouring 'my' page...and thanks to son number one for his help.

We both found it very therapuetic. Me as it was relaxing at the end of the day, and him because he has been off school ill with tonsilitis and was bored with watching TV and reading!
