Going out to collectorkerri from the "First Sentences Virtual BookBox". Sorry it took so long, things just got in the way. BTW - this was #5 - "The gate was packed with weary travelers, most of them standing and huddled along the walls because the meager allotment of plastic chairs had long since been taken." Sorry this took so long to get out. Enjoy.

Journal Entry 4 by collectorkerri from Springfield, Illinois USA on Monday, December 15, 2008
I was a bit reluctant to try again with John Grisham. I had attempted to read his books before, but found they were not to my taste. This one was different, though. I found it an utterly charming Christmastime read. It tells the story of what happens when an empty nester couple decides to "skip" Christmas one year and go on a cruise instead--no Christmas cards, no Christmas parties, no Christmas tree, nothing--and what happens when their friends and neighbors just don't understand. Sent to JennyC1230 as part of my monthly RABCK drawing.

Journal Entry 6 by JennyC1230 from Woodstock, Georgia USA on Friday, February 20, 2009
Book Description: Imagine a year without the chaos and frenzy that has become part of our holiday tradition - this is just what Luther and Nora Krank have in mind when they plan to skip Christmas and embark on a Caribbean cruise instead. But as this weary couple is about to discover - it's not as easy as that. My Review: This was such a cute story! I can relate, as much as I love Christmas, sometimes, it seems like too much work. I usually have to stop and remind myself to stop and enjoy rather than just rushing around like crazy the whole time.

Journal Entry 14 by rosepetal2 at Hurst, Illinois USA on Friday, January 14, 2011
I picked this one from the Wrap It Up bookbox. I've read it before several years ago and thought it was very funny. Not a usual Grisham book but a nice change of pace from his legal books. I plan to release this book shortly.
