I enjoyed this book. Pretty amazing writing for a kid :)
It was all very obvious where Christopher Paolini had his influences, but I felt like I was reading an original story, which is a good thing.
If you enjoy fantasy, this book is definitely worth a read!

I have read the next instalment, Eldest, and it is even better than Eragon as the authors style is maturing.

From the Publisher
Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy—until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Removed from indygo88's trade paperback bookbox. I've heard good things about this book and thought that my husband might like it as well.
