Book arrived safely in New Mexico this morning. Can't wait to read this!
I'm so sorry to have had this so long! I read through it a while ago, then denny08 and I had discussed plans for a halfway meet to hand the book off, then forgot all about it!
The book was great! Many of the places mentioned were familiar, was fun reading about them as I had not been for years. Have written down in a notebook some of the more interesting places I have yet to visit, and will hopefully see them before moving out of state next year!

Got this from Jare (well, from Jare's home - we managed to miss each other in the rainstorm) - will contact denny08 & figure out a transfer.
I think this would be a really good book for newbies to the state or to tourists...it was a nice reminder of places I've been intending to visit, but I didn't find anything new. Maybe the places are familiar just because NM has such a strong tourism board, so we hear about lots of places to visit? Anyway - I'll scan a photo from the VLA in (one of the places in the book, & one of my favorite places to visit) and post it here. Oh - if anyone who reads this is ever planning a trip to the VLA, try to hit Evett's Cafe in the town of Magdalena on your way - truly awesome milkshakes & I highly recommend their tortilla burgers - yum!
