Journal Entry 1 by BooksAndJava from Knoxville, Tennessee USA on Monday, May 07, 2007
I read this when it first came out in paperback, but can't remember a lot about it. I pretty much gave up John Grisham at that point because one book was just like another. After reading the first page of this book, though, I am considering reading it again. Instead, I'm releasing it to get some other opinions on it before I take the time to sit down with it. (Time is very limited these days!) :)

I will be taking this to our monthly meet-up if anybody is interested. Otherwise, I will be dropping it off at my Panera when they launch their Book Crossing Zone.

I liked this book! I don't always like Grisham's works (most of them I do like, even if they are somewhat formulaic) but this one was a page-turner. It had "heart" and "soul" too--the hero wasn't all that likable at the start but as the plot develops, so does he. I'll be releasing this in upstate New York--probably at the Curves where I exercise because they have a lending bookcase, so it will be safe.
