My first Agatha Christie read. I very much enjoyed this. Already - forgotten the twist at the end.

I read a lot of Agatha Christie novels as a young teen, and recently rediscovered her after reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, an absolutely excellent whodunnit. I feel the need for some more Christie now! Thanks tycho-brahe!

Journal Entry 6 by tqd at Sydney, New South Wales Australia on Wednesday, October 13, 2010
My first Tommy and Tuppence mystery by Agatha Christie, and it seems I've missed quite a few given the hints of back story she gives out in this one. Overall it was quite good fun, even with a somewhat messy ending (too many threads and clues to tie up), and as usual I enjoyed the Englishness of Christie's novels.

Picked up at Sydney December 2010 BookCrossing MeetUp. Thought it would be good for summer holiday reading, now I find I have to do a bit of convalescence so even more appropriate.

Enjoyed this, as one enjoys Agatha Christie novels, but found it;s plot and structure just a little bit strained.

Thanks so much to fleebo for sending me this book! (plus a Christchurch BC Convention bookmark!) I am planning to read all the Agatha Christies in order, so I have a while to go til I read this one. I have a soft spot for Tommy and tuppence so I'm particularly looking forward to reading all of their books - and I love the front cover!
