I have no idea how this book arrived in the laundryroom of my building in Victoria, BC... but I'm sure glad it did! I was so excited to see a BookCrossing book sitting there on the shelf, and it certainly made doing the laundry a touch more exciting! Thank you for releasing this book... looking forward to reading it.

I took forever to finish this book, as I kept finding others that were more compelling to me. I found it to be very depressing and quite slow-moving, though I did start getting into it a little more about 3/4 of the way through.

I may give Jane Smiley another shot (I have another of her books on Mt. TBR), but I can't say that this was one of my favourites.

(Oops... I also meant to mention that I actually finished this book yesterday, but forgot to journal it right away!)

I found this book in the bus shelter at Dallas and Simcoe in Victoria, BC. I have read "A Thousand Acres" twice, (and this will be my third time) and love it so much. I will leave it in a spot where it can be found, just as I found it! What a wonderful idea!

Finally getting around to this after a couple of months on my bedside table. It was a pretty good book, slow to start but interesting enough to continue reading. I'd like to try and find the movie now to compare.
