I picked this up from the garage roof of a lady who wears extremely snazzy furry boots (albeit two right feet). Certainly NOT the attire of a person who's going into decline.

4 out of 10

I found this a bit of a slog to be honest and am thankful that it only runs to 125 pages!

This is one of the 1001 books to read before you die.

What a big surprise! I found this book today in the brandnew OBCZ Café Abseits in Bamberg, where 16 bookcrossers met to celebrate the first meet-up there!

And now I wonder, how it made it's way to Germany?

I will read it and give it to other bookcrossers later, maybe in Coburg, Bamberg or Nuremberg.

RELEASE NOTES:

I was in Bamberg for a beery weekend and decided to hunt out "the other place" so that I could sample some of their beer. I knew others had left books at Abseits before but didn't know it was an OBCZ.

Happy reading/releasing Lady-liberty and it's great that I got a catch journalled, BEFORE I even got home!

Couldn't find this book on my shelf, when I checked my TBRs. Now it's clear: garibaldisghosts last journal entry took it from my virtual Mt TBR. :-)

Hey, are you planning to come to Bamberg again? Let me know, then we can go for a glass of German Beer, if you like.

Should have known it better: this book is a bit too heavy for my kind of taste. Tried to read it, but as there are more than enough books on my shelf which should be read, it sort this out and will send it on a journey again asap.

Fetched this book at the meet-up in Hamburg-Altona. Thought I should read a Joseph Conrad again after about a twenty years pause. Last one was "Secret Agent" as literature at school.
