Now I have to wait till Anita Blake 11 & 12 arrive before I can start with this one ...

I got hooked on these books because they were a cool, supernatural combination of the whodunit, detective, and action genres. Don't get me wrong, Anita's love/sex-life has always been part of the stories, but it wasn't ever really the primary plotline. Now it is, and since I don't dig soft-core erotica nor romance novels, I don't care for it.

Back when a friend first got me hooked on this series, I practically salivated with anticipation before I could read each new book. Since "Narcissus in Chains" was a letdown to me, I was eager to see if the next book would be an improvement. How sad that it wasn't.

I won't bother to read the next books in the series and find them a new home instead!

I am just reading "the killing dance" of this series - and so I took this book with me, too!

I just finnished Incubus Dreams before this book (after not reading the previous 5 boks), and the two books were much different. The "old" Anita was back - less sex, more crime.

Pity, that this book was so much shorter (not even 1/4 of Incubus Dreams) in the same series. Great to get to know Micah better - and to fly with Anita to Philli.

How did Anita "survive" the time she was passed out without sex? And no serious problems came up? Or maybe more information in the next book in the series!
