Heard this was a good, entertaining romp.
It proved to be fun, in a way that harks back to Dumas and Rafael Sabatini rather than hollywood. It's got pirates in it, too.

Picked up from the table of temptation as I liked another of this authors books

This story was fun from start to finish :) I've always loved the Zorro films, and seeing how Zorro came to be was very entertaining. I'd recommend this to anyone without hesitation. I haven't read anything by Allende before, but I'll definitely look for others by her in the future. Thanks for passing it on Sue. I'll give it to mum next.
