Currently reading. I loved her as Mrs Doyle in 'Father Ted' which is hardly a reason to buy a book, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Finished. A wonderful and heartwarming book about Ireland, love, families, death, bus journeys, being a pub landlord, alcoholism (not necessarily in that order). Highly recommended. Go awwwnnn .. you know you want to ...

Found lying on the bar at McLachlans Ale House some time over the Easter Weekend, where it had been conveniently left specifically for me to find.

Enjoyed the beginning and the end, drifted a bit in the middle though. That could have been my fault and not the books though.

The characters and their "pub names" really appealed to me, and I feel I've met many of their equivalents in bars in Edinburgh. A story of love, friendship and discovery and of the strength of family.

Really enjoyable a book with a seemingly comic style which made me laugh out loud, but with a serious heart and a happy ending. Retrieved from always sunday coffe shop. Now in Staffordshire.
