I picked this book up last night at the monthly meet-up at Namaste Indian Restaurant on King St, Melbourne, Australia and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
"After 6,000 years of horrifying stillness, Akasha, mother of all vampires and Queen of the Damned, has risen from her sleep to let loose the powers of the night.
But her monstrous plan for ruling the worlds of the living and the undead must be stopped before she destroys mankind, and it falls to the evil vampire Lestat to fight her all-encompassing evil - for it is he who challenged her power by waking her from sleep."
26/06/2007: Finished this book today and must say that it was an interesting read. I must admit that I havn't read the previous volumes though... will look out for them. ;-)
Gelesen im Rahmen der 1 Jahr = 1 Land Challenge für das Land USA.

Will take this book to the meet-up tonight.
Should of stopped halfway - it was alright up to then - the second half of the book was painful to read, did I miss something? because I can't believe they turned this into a movie (which I haven't and will never see). Plan to wild release at the airport - there must be some poor person who is dreading a long haul flight.
