The No.1 Ladies´ Detective Agency introduced the world to the one and only Precious Ramotswe -the engaging and sassy owner of Botswana´s only detective agency. In Tears of the Giraffe Mma Ramotswe faces a new challenge: resolving a mother´s pain for her son who is long lost on the African plains. Mma Ramotswe´s own impending marriage to the most gentlemanly of men, Mr J.L.B. Matekoni, the promotion of Mma´s secretary to the dizzy heights of Assistant Detective, and the arrival of new members to the Matekoni family, all brew up the most humorous and charmingly entertaining of tales.

This is the third of the series and I am excited to read it. Thank you, thank you.

This came in a RABCK with two other No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books. I cannot tell you what a treat this is. I have read the first book, now I have all three of the next books to read in order. This will go in line after my current books!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Really enjoyed reading "Tears of the Giraffe". Not a typical murder mystery, lyrical, full of beauty and phiophy as well as the plot. The country of Botswana is as much of a character in the book as are the people. As usual Alexander McCall Smith's writing style is enjoyable, deep, and moving, yet also readable and fun.

I left this in one of the uni-sex bathrooms in the Coffee Plant at Town and Country.
