When I bought this book, I had no idea of what this story would be like. This book is Michael Gerard Baur's first published book which won an award from the Children Book Council of Authors.

A shy young boy by the name of, Joseph Davidson who meets up with his grumpy aging neighbour, Tom Leyton. This is a humanist story of how two people help each other out. One a shy boy, the other a war vet who holds a secret from his teaching days which is not what people like to think it is but something else.

This is a good heart felt story that my daughter, my wife and I enjoyed reading. Whoever grabs this book, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
