Journal Entry 1 by Bluestocking88 from -- Wild released somewhere in the state, Washington USA on Friday, March 30, 2007
I admit, I would like to lose 10 lbs. Really, that's all I need to lose. I am at a healthy weight for my height, my BMI backs that up. But hey, look what my sister got me for Christmas. (Secretly I think she bought it at Costco and read it first--a used diet book for Christmas--do you feel the joy?) Tip for shoppers out there, a diet book is NEVER a good gift unless someone specifically asks for it--and even then a note in the cover that you think they are fine at any weight would be required. Anyway, I did read parts of it, but I'm on a program that's working for me--move more, eat less, no cheesecake. Seems to be working pretty well. So I think I will lose another pound or so and set this book out into the world. Please don't ask for it so someone else can read it though--that's how it got on bookcrossing in the first place.

Journal Entry 2 by pashmack from Lake Worth, Florida USA on Monday, April 16, 2007
The book arrived in today's mail. I've seen the authors on the Discovery Channel a couple times, and was very interested in what they had to say. I'll get started with the book this evening. Thank you, Bluestocking88 for sending your book on a bookray/ring. I know it must be very hard to part with it, since it was such a special gift ;-) (loved your journal entry!)

Journal Entry 3 by pashmack from Lake Worth, Florida USA on Thursday, April 19, 2007
Wow. While I am grateful to Bluestocking88 for being willing to share this book. I must admit, I am finding it quite disappointing. I've read to about page 80, and just can't go on. I can't tolerate any more of the lame attempts at humor that are rampant in nearly every paragraph. Arghhhh!!! Enough already!!! Just give me the info, please! So, I've skimmed through the rest of the book. I was happy to find some good meat-free recipes in the back. I'll definitely copy down a couple of them before sending the book along. I'll get it into the mail to Ctychic as soon as I get her address. Thanks again.

The book is now on its way to the next reader. Sorry I didn't get to the post office sooner! I was holding onto the book until I had time to copy down some of the recipes. Can't wait to try them. Thanks again, Bluestocking88, for sharing. www.usps.com delivery confirmation number: 0306 3030 0000 9720 6463

Wow, I give the previous reader credit for being able to get to page 80....I threw in the towel after page 36. I 'd rather they left out the lame attempts at humor. Thanks again for sharing it. It will be in the mail as soon as I hear from Msjoanna.

Sounds like an unpopular book so far -- glad I didn't buy it. I'll look through it soon, then figure out where it goes next.

Journal Entry 8 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Sunday, June 10, 2007
I agree with the other readers that the writing style was extremely annoying and that the pitch was targeted at an audience that the authors seem to think is a strange combination of completely uneducated, semi-literate, and at the same time interested in reading a fairly long and boring book. I thought a few of the suggestions were sound, but many of them not practical. I particularly resent the notion that one of the steps that someone should take is to pick one meal that will be the same every day and to overall reduce the variety of foods eaten. Blech.

Journal Entry 10 by Bluestocking88 from -- Wild released somewhere in the state, Washington USA on Saturday, June 16, 2007
Just arrived home today. Thanks everyone for moving it along. I will wild release it at a local doctor's office. Maybe it will find someone that actually appreciates the attempts at humor. Either way it's out of my house.
