His poetry was to angry for me but it is understandable because he was in prison during the writing of this slim book. I did like his way with words and hope he will publish a kinder gentler book.

I liked this little volume. The poems were very intense and it was easy to imagine why Mapanje is so angry. And still there was hope in his texts. I especially liked the Ken Saro-Wiwa poems.
