Journal Entry 1 by KateKintail from Burke, Virginia USA on Saturday, March 24, 2007
I read this book for the first time ever last year. I already knew the basic story, so that wasn't a surprise. I can imagine how shocking it must be for people who don't know the secret about the two men, though! And even though I already knew the basics, I was still spellbound and captivated by the tale. It sent shivers up my spine more than once! It also gave me a lot to think about as far as the human condition. This version contains an afterword by Jerome Charyn.

I'm glad to see from your journal entry that know a bit about the plot doesn't hurt the story. Thanks so much for sharing, Kate!

Journal Entry 4 by Teag from Foresthill, California USA on Sunday, November 29, 2009
A quick read, quite good. Some of the prose is difficult if you're trying to read among distractions, but nothing that bogs down the story. The sort of in-reverse storyline works very well for this one. AVL now on BookCrossing, SwapTree.com, PaperbackSwap.com and TitleTrader.com
