Released at Knockan Crag interpretation centre.

Photo shows the Lochan an Ais, Cul Beag and Stac Pollaidh, taken from the footpath beside the visitor centre just after the sun had dipped behind the mountains.

"Glaciers, grinding West, gouged out
these valleys, rasping the brown sandstone,
and left, on the hard rock below — the
ruffled foreland —
this frieze of mountains, filed
on the blue air — Stac Polly,
Cul Beag, Cul Mor, Suilven,
Canisp — a frieze and
a litany"

(from A Man in Assynt - Norman McCaig)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Left in the interpretation display area near the start of the trail at the crag.

Extracts ftrom poems by Norman MacCaig, who was inspired by the local landscapes, have been carved into slabs of stone at the interpretation trail.

"Something to do with time has all to do
With shape and size. The million shapes of time,
Its millions of appearances are the true
Mountain and moor and tingling water drop
That runs and hangs and shakes time towards a stop."
~ from Treeless Landscape

"Who possesses this landscape? -
The man who bought it or
I who am possessed by it?
False questions, for
this landscape is masterless
and intractable in any terms
that are human."
~ from A man in Assynt

" ...I don't remember
The eagle going away. But I'll never forget
The eagle-shaped space it left, stamped on the air."
~ from In Everything

Hi
Sorry for the delay reading and releasing, but family illness has slowed life down a bit. Enjoying the book so far, not one I would have chosen to buy. Almost finished and will release as soon as possible.

Finished reading book now. Thanks for challenging me to read a book I would not otherwise have considered. Excellent story with lots of twists and turns, only reason for lowish score is simply because it didn't end the way I wanted it to, but read and decide for your selves. Will put up release details soon, as soon as I can decide where to put it.
