Sue Townsend has to be one of the funniest authors around today, this dip into the world of British polotics and what can go wrong doesn't disapoint, this story had me laughing out loud and crying at times.
Very funny book, I enjoyed it a lot! Read it in a bus and got a few weird looks when I burst out giggling at one point. It's not without faults though, Townsend gets a bit preachy with the crack cocaine thing and I think Jack Sprat character is a bit sketchy.
All in all, a thoughtful and uplifting book.
