Journal Entry 1 by Firegirl from Annandale, Virginia USA on Monday, July 02, 2007
From inside jacket: Being dead sucks. Make that being undead sucks. Literally. Just ask Thomas C. Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike anything he's ever experienced, he discovers that his girlfriend, Jody -- the woman of his dreams -- is a vampire. And surprise! Now he's one too. For some couples the whole biting-and-blood thing would have been a deal breaker. But Tommy and Jody are in love, and they vow to work through their issues. Like how much Jody should teach Tommy about his new superpowers (and how much he needs to lean on his own). Plus there's Tommy's cute new minion, sixteen-year-old goth girl Abby Normal. (Well, someone has to run errands during daylight hours!) Making the relationship work, however, is the least of Jody and Tommy's problems. Word has it that the vampire who nibbled on Jody wasn't supposed to be recruiting any new members into the club. Even worse, Tommy's erstwhile turkey-bowling pals are out to get him at the urging of a blue-dyed Las Vegas call girl named (duh) Blue. And that really sucks.

Journal Entry 4 by dnsvm from Longmont, Colorado USA on Saturday, September 15, 2007
I just finished this book today and really enjoyed it! It was the perfect amount of satire of the goth/vampire culture and the wit that Christopher Moore is famous for. I forgot that this was a sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends until I started reading and went "Wait! These characters are familiar!" I will mail this off this week!

Journal Entry 6 by MoonBeam056 from Pawleys Island, South Carolina USA on Monday, October 22, 2007
This one didn't quite live up to my expectations, but maybe I should have read Bloodsucking Fiends first. Or, maybe my expectations were just set too high. I tend to do that a lot. Overall though, I enjoyed the humor in this book. Thanks for sharing. As soon as I get an address from the next participant, I'll get this one back on its way.

I love Christopher Moore's books! They're always funny and witty and slightly off-beat. I'm not a huge vampire book fan, but this book was easy to read and very enjoyable. I will contact the next in line.

Journal Entry 18 by pzarks from Portland, Oregon USA on Friday, March 14, 2008
What a great book! I read Bloodsucking Fiends (the book that started the whole story) a couple of weeks ago, so I was able to get right into this one. Although I wish there had been more scenes with the Emperor and his "men", I laughed a lot at Abby's narratives. I have PMed the next in line for this ring and I will be sending this book on its way ASAP! Thanks again for sharing!

Journal Entry 20 by SilverFlame from Salt Lake City, Utah USA on Tuesday, March 25, 2008
Yay! I got this book in the mail yesterday, and along with it came Bloodsucking Fiends, which I am so excited about! I like to read series books in order and didn't know this was book 2 until I read all the participants in this bookring's comments... Now I get to read them both! :) Amy has included instructions for me to do whatever I like with BF, and I do believe I'll pass it along in the ring with the second book. If anyone comes after me in the ring who has also not read the first book, I think they'll enjoy the surprise as much as I did. At the end of the line, I think Carlissa will get the honors of figuring out what to do with it. Thanks a bunch, pzarks! :)

I really, really enjoyed this book. My favorite part was Abby Normal. She really made the book great for me. I also love how the story entertwines with A Dirty Job. This will be going in the mail to nightraine56 on Monday, Aug. 4 along with Bloodsucking Fiends.

I got this along with Bloodsucking Fiends. I will read Fiends first and then You Suck. I hope you will be patient with me. I am a slow reader, but I will try to get them read as soon as possible. They both look like a fun read. Thanks for letting me read them!

Journal Entry 29 by azuki from Miami, Florida USA on Thursday, September 25, 2008
Received this from Carlissa, as a book from Lovemylife for the Chapter 12 Book Exchange on BookObsessed.com. Thanks Carlissa, thanks Lovemylife. Carlissa also passed along Bloodsucking Fiends, which I understand is supposed to be read first. Incidentally, before meeting Carlissa and without a clue I will be getting this book, I have taken A Dirty Job from the audio bookbox I was to bring to Carlissa. So, all of a sudden, I am attacked by vampires everywhere!

Journal Entry 30 by azuki at Miami, Florida USA on Sunday, July 18, 2010
A very funny read with some laugh aloud moments. It's also a delight to bump into some characters from A Dirty Job. Looking forward to the third in the series, Bite Me. I had originally reserved this for Macaufan, to whom I gave Bloodsucking Fiends. But unfortunately he damaged that book. As I don't know when he'd get another copy I will send this to my BookObsessed birthday partner instead, as this is on her wishlist.
