The first chapter was a bit off-putting, because I have really embraced Birkenstocks and other healthy shoes, and given up entirely on hair-dryers and makeup! I felt more and more dowdy the more I read (although most of the time I like my current look, really). Still, once I got on to other chapters I was more able to laugh about it. I'm interested to learn that Manolo supposedly makes high heels that are *comfortable*! I had never really understood what all the fuss over him was about. Two sections I felt worth going back to: wines and housekeeping. Thanks for letting me be a part of this bookring, although I feel a little too old and frumpy for this book :D I've got Hengameh's address (thanks, vexter, for including links to the profile pages right here - how convenient), but might wait to post from England at the weekend (we're off to visit family there) because I think that will be cheaper than from Finland. UPDATE: Mailed on 28 July from Wortham, Diss, Norfolk. Session 1-1364940, parcel reg. 19668. |
