From amazon.co.uk:

Lena immerses herself in her painting and an intoxicating summer fling, fearing that the moment she forgets about Kostos will be the moment she sees him again. Carmen falls under the spell of a sophisticated college friend for whom a theatrical role means everything and the heritage of the Pants means nothing. Bridget joins a dig for an ancient city on the coast of Turkey and discovers that her archaeology professor is available in every way except one. Tibby leaves behind someone she loves, wrongly believing he will stay where she has left him. Join Ann Brashares' beloved sisterhood once again in a dazzling, fearless novel. It's a summer that will forever change the lives of Lena, Carmen, Bee and Tibby, here and now, past and future, together and apart.

Although the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" series is marketed as "Teen" literature, I thoroughly enjoyed every book in the saga. As the fourth and final book in the series, "Forever in Blue" did not disappoint. The story adequately grows with the girls, and the book has a finale that I felt was satisfying and appropriate.

This is a newly released book, so I'd like to send it on an INTL bookring so that others may enjoy it as well. I will post on the forum to see if anyone would like to join!

Journal Entry 6 by timollie5502 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA on Saturday, March 17, 2007
I just finished this during a lazy Saturday morning in bed, and it was the perfect read for this snowy morning!
I was sad to read the last book in the series, but it was well written, and I enjoyed the characters as much as ever. And it was a relief to know that they'll all be alright in the end. :)
Thanks for sharing this book!

I will PM the next person in line and get this book out soon.

EDIT: This book was mailed out on 3/22. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 7 by Aisling78 from Essex, Massachusetts USA on Wednesday, March 28, 2007
Great timing...I just finished reading the third book in this series after borrowing it from the library. I'm eager to start reading this novel, since the characters and their personal situations are still fresh in my mind. thank you for sharing this book as a ring, BethanieKay! I have one book ahead of it, but I'm a relatively quick reader and will have my nose in this one in a few days.

Journal Entry 8 by Aisling78 from Essex, Massachusetts USA on Monday, April 16, 2007
I loved this novel -- it was the perfect end to this series. I can't go into much detail without risking spoiling the ending for future readers, but I finished this book feeling surprisingly satisfied with how it ended. The biggest problem I had with this book was that I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters! Thank you, BethanieKay, for sharing this book. I'll PM the next in line and get it moving later this week (after pay-day!)

Journal Entry 9 by LadyKnightNiko from Liberty Township, Ohio USA on Wednesday, June 13, 2007
This has finally found me! I'll start it as soon as I finish The Book Thief.

Journal Entry 10 by LadyKnightNiko from Liberty Township, Ohio USA on Wednesday, June 13, 2007
Well, I'm of mixed feelings about this one. I still love Brashares' characters, but after a year without them I wasn't too fresh on what had happened in their personal lives, and so some events didn't hold quite as much meaning for me. Also, I was satisfied with the ending, other than the Kostos part. Once you read it, perhaps you'll see what I mean.

Thank you, BethanieKay, for letting me in on this ring. I'll mail it out as soon as I have the next participant's address.

This was as delightful as the others... I really enjoyed it..though again I was sometimes a bit mad at the girls when they didn't speak their mind...
And I guess I felt closest to Bee :-)

What a pity this is now the last sequel...but I am happy with this ending and can live with it :-))

The book went to Sternschnuppe today!

Journal Entry 14 by Sternschnuppe28 from Flörsheim am Main, Hessen Germany on Monday, July 23, 2007
received today - and already longing sooooooooooooooooo much for reading, but have to wait till Thursday afternoon, because I am in preparation for an important exam ;-(( - thanks a lot!!!

Journal Entry 15 by Sternschnuppe28 from Flörsheim am Main, Hessen Germany on Sunday, July 29, 2007
OH! I am a bit sad that I finished reading :-( I quite enjoyed the book, and it was a real nice read, but in some ways exaggerated. Brashares bought big topics into the book (pregnancy, adultry) and some other things, that were a little hard to believe (for example Lena´s part or the journey to Greece). I like the very end though (last three pages), that was pretty much satisfying. It´s funny, how people identify with the girls in the book. I guess for this one I am nearest to a mixture of Carmen und Bee.

A great series - I regret it´s over now!

"Forever in blue" will continue traveling to coco7 today.

I got the book on Tuesday (sorry I forgot to journal earlier) and am quite excited about it ...

Journal Entry 17 by wingcoco7wing from Sprendlingen, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Thursday, August 16, 2007
I''m glad I was introduced to this series by BC. This deep friendship is amazing, and the books are all heart-warming. I felt closest to Carmen and Tibby this time and enjoyed the reading very much.
And I''m now buying the books for my best friend who was impressed too :-)

Journal Entry 18 by Risa29 from Käerjeng, Kanton Capellen Luxembourg on Wednesday, September 5, 2007
The traveling pants arrived today and as soon as I had the book in my hands I got immediately drawn into it.

Journal Entry 19 by Risa29 from Käerjeng, Kanton Capellen Luxembourg on Thursday, September 6, 2007
Wow, this time it took me less than 24 hours to get through this book. Or rather it took the book less than 24 hours to get me through it ;-)
From the moment I decided to just have a brief look at it, I couldn't stop reading.
I enjoyed it very much. It was nice to meet Lena, Carmen, Tibby and Bee again and, like the other readers I liked the end and the way the four girls found each other again.

Update 7.september07: the book is on its way to dnsvm.

Journal Entry 20 by dnsvm from Longmont, Colorado USA on Saturday, September 15, 2007
Just got this in the mail. I am hesitant to read this because it's the last book and I don't want the series to be over....However, I can't wait to read it either! I am adding it to the TBR pile and will have it back home to BethanieKay (unless you want to try to send it out on a second leg) soon.

Journal Entry 21 by dnsvm from Longmont, Colorado USA on Thursday, November 1, 2007
I finished this book two weeks ago and haven't had a chance to send it out. I really enjoyed this one and was glad with how they brought all the story lines to an end. The only story that felt out of place was Carmen's but I think that was purposeful because she was "under the spell" of a fellow student. I will miss these characters, but look forward to seeing how they translate these next books into movies!

Sending of to Ramsom tomorrow!

Thanks for including me in your BookRing!

Journal Entry 25 by surmisez from Worcester, Massachusetts USA on Friday, December 7, 2007
I really enjoyed this book. I have not read any of the other books in the series, but after reading this I'd like to go back and see how the whole traveling pants thing started.

So many parts of the book reminded me of being young. The author did a really good job of capturing the thinking process and attitude of young women -- completely illogical. I still cringe when I think of some of the dumb things my friends and I did concerning boys and jobs. This book was almost like walking down memory lane.

I enjoyed meeting all the characters and getting to know them and will definitely look into reading the other books in the series.

Thank you, BethanieKay, for including me in your BookRing.

The Traveling Pants have returned back home to me!

A huge thank you to all of you who have made this bookring a success! This book has been traveling for just about 10 months, and it has met 12 new friends who live in 3 different countries. The book, like the Traveling Pants themselves, now shows a bit of wear and tear from being shared with fellow lovers of this story. I think this book will rest on my shelf for a little while now, and maybe it will go back out on a journey down the road :)

Thanks for making Bookcrossing so much fun! :)
